Everyday makeup routine

I feel like I am pretty set in my ways when it comes to my everyday makeup routine, I tend to use the same set of products and do it all in a certain order and never really switch it up. So here is is my daily make up for work, it generally takes me about 20-25 minutes to slowly apply it all and be ready.

The first thing I do is prime my face, I have been using the Makeup Revolution Pore Blur recently, this has a very silicone feel to it and it makes my skin feel really smooth and soft afterwards.

Once my base is done, I then go and apply my mascara, I have to do this before I do any more of my face make up because I make such a mess no matter what. I have been using the Natural Collection waterproof mascara as I picked it up on a whim, decided to try it out, and low and behold it’s actually really good.

After I have cleaned up all the mascara which is on my face, I apply my foundation. I have just ran out of my favourite one, so I am going to give the Revlon Colourstay* a go for a while and see how I get on with it. To conceal under my eyes I have been using the Thin Lizzy concealer* as this is pretty full coverage.

To set my make up in place I use the MUA Cosmetics loose translucent powder. I then bronze my face using a bronzer from MUA Cosmetics which was only £1, such a bargain. Followed by the Zoella x Colourpop blush which is super pretty.

To add some highlight to my face I have been using a highlighter stick from Natural Collection which is very similar to Glossier Haloscope Quartz, so I am super happy to have found a dupe for it!

Finally for my brows I use the HD brow pencil from Sainsburys to define my brows and Loreal Brow Plumper to set them in place.

Zoella x Colourpop Makeup Collection

When I saw the launch of this collaboration, I was going to buy anything, but as the day went on I decided I NEEDED just a few things from it, so I went ahead and ordered it as it was free shipping to the UK.

I really only picked up things I knew I would use, I really loved the look of the palette, but it was nothing different to other palettes I already owned, so I refrained, along with the red lipstick (which I massively regret not buying).

I chose the blush, as I don’t own a lot of blushes, a liquid eyeshadow as I don’y own any! and finally a liquid matte lipstick as I wanted to try the formula out. My total came to $25 which I don’t think is a bad price for three really good quality products.

I have had the liquid matte lipsticks a few years ago, and I wasn’t that impressed with them, I found them to be really drying and they peeled off my lips. But as Zoe always raves about them, and she has created her own shade I figured they had changed the formula, and they have. I chose the shade @me, this is a pinky nude, pretty much my perfect everyday lip.

The blush is absolutely beautiful, the packaging is really cute and its such a nice big size. The shade is also a really good match for me for my everyday makeup.

March Favourites

My first favourite is the Pixi Glow Tonic* which was kindly sent to me, and is personalised! I have been using this every night since the beginning of the year and love it, I feel this has really helped my skin, preventing breakouts and even the texture.

As for my favourite scent, I am obsessed with the new fragrance from Ariana Grande, Cloud*. I was sent this back in January and have worn it pretty much everyday, I get so many compliments about it and everyone seems shocked when I tell them what it is.

On my eyes I have been loving the Colourpop x Zoella liquid shadow in the shade OG. It is a so so pigmented and it looks so pretty all over your lid. I have also been loving the liquid matte lipstick in the shade @me, this is a really nice pinky nude. I also really love the formula of this and wish I got it in the red.

Face make up I have been loving is the Thin Lizzy foundation*, this is one of the best foundations I have ever used and it has so sadly ran out now, but it made my skin look great and was really long lasting. I recently ran out of my go-to primer so I decided to pick up a more affordable one from Makeup Revolution, considering it was only £6 I would say its very similar to Benefit Porefessional.

Getting ready in the morning has been made so much nicer with my LUNA London mirror* which was kindly gifted to me, I love that it is a larger compact size, perfect for travelling and has a super zoomed mirror to get those close up images.

Another scent I have been loving is from Superdrug, I picked this up in the January sales and I couldn’t recommend it enough. For such a cheap scent it smells amazing and it really reminds me of the Jo Malone scents.

I have also been using a face peel from Ecooking*, the first time I used it I got a little (very) worried a my whole face went bright red which looked like a sunburn, but it settled down, and I tried it again a few days later. I love using this a few times a week to help resurface my face and help with the tone of my skin.

And lastly, my go to skincare product which has made a huge impact on my skincare is the Radiance Oil from Freshly Cosmetics*. I use this everynight on my face and it has helped my skin so much, I have visibly less scars now!

Summer hair & skin must haves

Today I am going to be sharing my summer essentials for my hair & body…

First up in the Evoluderm Monoi a la Follie body lotion, this was sent to me last week as a gift from the company and I have been using it every day since as my evening body moisturiser. It smells amazing and it feels so hydrating on my skin especially after a day (or 2 weeks) in the sun. What I love about this moisturiser is that it glides on like an oil, blends into your skin and doesn’t leave a tacky residue.

I really wish I had photographed these products in some kind of order, but now were going to the pre moisturising stage, body scrub, My go to scrub which was sent to me by the amazing Zoella Beauty is the Pretty Polished scrub. This has loads of little ‘scrubby bits’ and it is in more of a balm which means it is way more effective that most scrubs.

A new addition to my mornings (when I remember) is the skinny coffee from Skinny Palm Tree, this was sent to me to try out as I love my morning coffees on the weekends. I do tend to only use it at the weekends when I remember to be all cool and drink coffee (and get up earlier enough). So far I have not noticed results and I doubt I will as I still eat pretty unhealthy the rest of the time, but it’s still the thought that counts, right?

My newest obsession for taking a shower is the Nivea Love Sunshine shower gel, this is literally your childhood summer in a bottle. It smells divine! It really does take me back to beach in the 90’s!

And now to show my hands a bit of tlc I have been using ‘sweet orange, lemongrass and lime’ solid hand cream bar from The Edinburgh Natural Skincare co. This was really kind sent to me to try and review, however before I had the chance to take photos of the bar it had melted! It arrived during the heatwave we have just had but here is the link to it so you can see what it is meant to look like. The bar smells so fresh and the scents really stand out, I have been using mine every night before bed to moisturise my hands and nails and I have been enjoying being able to smell it as I fall asleep.

As for my hair care this summer I have been using prescriptive shampoo and conditioner from My Hair Doctor who kindly gifted me their range for dehydrated hair. My initial thoughts were “omg, this smells amazing”! When these products arrived I made everyone sniff them, I even rubbed some on my hand so I could smell it without having to keep opening up the bottles!

For my summer scents I have been loving the typical summer fragrance, the dupe of Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, Next Summer Sun. This smells identical but is a fraction of the price so I don’t have to use it sparingly. And the second perfume I have been loving is Wanderlust by Michael Kors along with the matching body lotion. I have got into the habit of smothering myself in the lotion every morning before I go to work, it adds loads of moisture, makes my tan stand out and smells great!

Summer Ready Bodycare

Happy Summer!

Im sure were all at the point now where we just want a constant bit of sunshine in our lives and I’m getting pretty fed up with trying really hard to get a natural tan and then it fading from the lack of sun!

Today I am sharing my summer body care essentials which I am currently using to keep my body feeling good and sun kissed even in the cloudy British weather.

First up in the shower I have been loving the Nivea Love Sunshine shower gel, this was gifted to me as part of an ad I did for Nivea over on my Instagram, but I loved the smell of it so much I went and bought myself a back up and one for my mum. This really does smell just like summer and suncream and brings back so many memories from summer holidays.

I have also been fake tanning quite a lot recently so I don’t look like an unhealthy ghost whilst I’m at work in shorts, so in order to get a nice even I have been loving using two scrubs. The first is a Zoella scrub which is really bitty and so exfoliating, I love the fact that this is really solid as it feels like it is getting rid of any dead skin and freshening my skin right up. And the second is a new scrub from What’s in it for me, this literally smells amazing! This one is the opposite of the Zoella one though, it is much more liquidy which makes it more of a wash than an actually scrub in my eyes.

When I get out the shower before I tan I like to add some moisturiser to dry bits like my knees and ankles so I don’t get any dodgy bits when the tan dries. The moisturiser I have been using lately is the Wondrous Whip by Zoella.

Finally for my body, the Rimmel Sun Shimmer Tan, this leaves instant colour but develops to a darker colour over a few hours. I do find that with this one I do need to shower the next day I order to get rid of the excess tan. I made the mistake of not shower the day after applying this and going to a trampoline park and my sweat was orange, luckily no one else noticed!

And finally in order to smell like summer I spritz myself in Summer Sun from Next which smells like summer in a bottle!

What are your go to summer bits?

Thanks for reading xx

Zoella Beauty sent Me a gift!

This little (in fact, quite big) package was enough to get me out of my blogging rut and get me motivated to start writing again on here! A few weeks ago Zoella Beauty contacted me on Instagram saying they wanted to send me something, I had no idea that it would be a package full of all of these amazing goodies!

So I want to say a huge thank you Zoe and the team at Zoella Beauty for sending me all these lovely goodies and for noticing me on Instagram! Pure craziness!

I was already pretty excited when I opened the box to see ALL of these products as I wasn’t expecting as much as this, but when I saw this hand written note from Zoe herself this literally made my day!

I received 6 products, 5 bath and shower and a make up bag. I have only ever tried the shower gel from this particular range so I’m pretty excited to try the rest out. As I don’t have a bath at home there is part of me that is so temped to the book the Hilton around the corner for one night to literally use their bath!

The product which stands out the most is the body scrub, I love the fact that it is fairly solid rather than really liquidy. It also feels really hydrating and nourishing on my skin whilst it is exfoliating.

I also really love the fact that the scent of the hand cream isn’t too overpowering, it has a really subtle smell and leaves your skin feeling soft but not overly greasy.

Thank you once again to Zoella Beauty for sending me these, I can’t wait to try the rest out!

Check out my Instagram if you want to see more photos and see what I get up too!

Keeping your skin hydrated this winter

Hello lovlies, todays post is all about keeping your skin hydrated this winter and making sure it stays nice and healthy looking even when you feel like you have icicles growing on you because its that cold. I am going to be talking about my favourite body scrubs, moisturisers and anything else I think works great for the colder months.

The main thing all year round is drinking enough water, just because its not hot and you dont feel thirsty, doesn’t mean your body needs water any less.

In the shower

I have been loving a few shower gels recently and these are mainly because they have really good benefits and nice ingredients to help nourish your skin and of course clean it. First up is Shower Shake by Zoella Beauty, this came to mind first mainly because it is a moisturising body wash. When you apply it to your skin it doesn’t foam up, at first I wasn’t too sure about it because i like my shower gels to foam but actually its really nice. I wouldn’t use this everyday, but i think on the occasion its really nice because it leaves your skin feeling soft as if you’ve just put lotion on.

Next is a shower gel by a newer brand called Whats in it for me, they create shower products which are full of goodness and really nice ingredients for your skin, I particularly like this one in the the winter months because of the smell. It smells really fresh and invigorating and makes your skin feel alive which I think is really important in the winter when your skin is lacking nourishment.

And finally in the shower once or twice a week I like to use a body scrub and my go to one at the moment is another Whats in it for me product. This scrub literally smells amazing if youve read my blogpost last month I raved about it! This is the best smelling body product EVER! I think its really important to scrub your body once a week to get rid of any dead skin and to boost circulation and get the blood pumping to the surface to keep your skin looking glowy.

Out of the shower

Once your out of the nice hot shower comes the worst thing ever, getting dry! When its winter and no matter how long the heating has been on your skill freeze! This also makes me super lazy, because I want to get warm again I tend to skip moisturiser and just get dressed. But on the days where I feel like i can brave the cold I like to apply the Soap and Glory Righteous ButterThis really thick and creamy, what i love most is that you can apply this onto damp skin, so there’s no need to dry of all the way!

And finally on the days when you feel like your skin needs some extra TLC an oil is a god option, these are instantly hydrating and contain rally nice ingredients to pamper your skin. My chosen body oil is the NUXE Huile Prodigiese which can be used anywhere on your body (including your hair and face).

What are your go to shower essentials for the winter? Let me know in the comments below!

Full body pamper routine

Today I am sharing my favourite pamper products and what I like to do to treat myself. I tend to only do a full on pamper routine like this before a special occasion like a holiday so this doesn’t happen every week!

For my face I have just picked out 3 essentials, I do a pretty intense skincare routine daily and there will be a post on that shortly. But for now here are the products I’ve picked for anpamper rouitne. The Philosophy Microdelivery exfoliating face wash is such a pamper product in my eyes, it’s so soft and gentle and leaves my skin feeling great!

Of course a pamper routine isn’t a really a pamper routine unless there is a face mask involved. I have picked the Soap and Glory De-Clog mask out of my collection as it is really fun to use and really does feel like it’s pulling all the dirt out of your skin!

And then add loads of hydration back into my skin I like to do a hydrating sheet mask, my favourites are the Garnier masks as I know I can always rely on them!

No pamper routine is complete without a shower (or a bath), I love using the Whats in it for me Body cleanser which was kindly gifted to me. This smells so fresh and invigorating and adds a pop of summer into my autumnal routine. It also contains so many good ingredients that keep your skin in tip top condition.

Next up, a body scrub! I have been wanting to try out a coffee scrub for the longest time so when this one from Bean Body arrived in the #lfbeautybox I was so happy! As of yet I have not used it, but I will Post a mini review over on my Instagram when I use it! @toriiitoriii

And to finish up treating my body I have been loving using the Zoella Beauty Body Pudding. What I love most about this moisturiser is the little little beads which pop and add even more goodness into your skin!

Carbon Coco is the newest addition to my pamper routine as I was kindly gifted this! I still have yet to use it, but I’m sure it will be great as I’ve seen so many good reviews on it! Let me know if you want me to document my results!

Hands & Hair

For en extra little treat, especially in the colder months it’s good to take care of your hands as they are normally the body part which is out in the horrible weather. I have picked out the Skimono hand mask to use followed by Soap and Glory Hand Food to make my hands extra soft.

And to finish, a hair oil from Forest & Shore! A hair oil has been a staple for me since the summer and so I use this one from Forest & Shore after every wash. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling so soft and managable!

What products do you use for your pamper routine?
