Spring Morning Skincare Routine

My morning skincare routine is a bit hit and miss, I am the least morning-ist person, so washing my face in the morning before work is a big no! I only wash my face in the mornings at the weekends and if I’m on half term. My morning skincare is a lot more basic than my evening one.

To cleanse I use the Freshly Cosmetics Rose Quartz Facial Cleanser* as I find it really gentle on my skin and refreshing.

To tone I spritz the Dermalogica multi active toner*, followed by The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid. And the final step is the Skin Smoothing Cream* from Dermalogica.

Spring Evening Skincare Routine

To start my skincare routine off every evening, I use Dermalogica Pre Cleanse*, this is an oil which you massage into dry skin and it removes pretty much all your make up, including waterproof mascara! I then use the Special Cleansing Gel* to cleanse my face, this contains lots of great skin ingredients and I find this especially good helping with my spots. The third step to cleansing is using the Daily Microfoliant*, this contains little rice granules and gently exfoliates your skin, removing all the bad stuff.

Masking is the next step, I have a separate blogpost going up of my favourite masks, but for todays post I have picked two from Pixi Beauty which I like to use a duo. I apply the Peel & Polish* first and massage that in before I rinse it off, then I apply the Glow Mud Mask* which helps with blemishes.

I use the Pixi Glow Tonic* toner every night with out fail, this is so good as another exfoliation step, and making my skin feel super fresh and glowy.

On the nights when I’m feeling extra bougie I like to use the Pixi DetoxifEYE* eye patches along with the Glycolic Boost* sheet mask.

To add in extra hydration and help with acne scaring I use two pumps of Aloe Vera Gel*, I find this really refreshing and cooling on my skin especially in the summer. Under my eyes I apply the Freshly Cosmetics Eye Serum* followed by the Freshly Cosmetics Golden Radiance Oil*.

And finally, I apply Pixi Beauty Rose Ceramide Cream* just before I go to sleep to lock in all the moisture.

New Hair Products | ESALON {gifted}

I have recently just been gifted all these lovely hair products, as someone who refuses to spend money on their hair and would much rather spend money on skincare, I really am excited to give these a go.

At £13 a bottle for the shampoo and conditioner I can definitely say this is the most luxury product my hair has had, and probably will have.

My hair is pretty ok most the time, but occasionally it does get a bit dry, so the moisture shampoo and conditioner will be great for locking in the moisture, especially in the hotter months.

I am a huge lover of leave in conditioner, this one provides moisture and stops frizz all day long, another product perfect for the summer. Along with the leave in conditioner, I was also sent some hair oil, I love oil in the summer, when I’m on holiday and I’m doing minimal hair styling, it works so perfectly to tame my hair and make it look healthy.

You can check out their website here to get products suitable to your hair.

Spring has sprung ūüĆ∑ Femme Luxe {gifted}

I recieved another little parcel from Femme Luxe, this time I picked out a snake print jacket and a pink oversized knit jumper.

I love the style of the jacket, it’s really casual and oversized and I think it is the perfect look for a spring day. I don’t own any snake print, so I thought it would be a good addition to my wardrobe. I can see myself styling this with some denim shorts in the summer.

The link to the jacket is  here

This winter I have been loving just wearing an over sized jumper and jeans, and I have been doing the same for work but with trousers so I love this jumper.

It is very oversized and I actually think I could have sized down to have it a bit more form fitting, but I still love it. It is a lot more of a heavier jumper than others I have previously got from Femme Luxe but I love the quality of it.

Spring Make Up For Work

Hello, today I thought I would share some of my favourite drugstore products and use them all in one look for a day at work.

I have been obsessed with the Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer the past few weeks, I find it gives my skin a really healthy glow and creates a smooth base for my foundation to sit on.

For foundation I have been trying out Loreal Infalliable Total Cover which I think everyone has tried by now. To be honest I don’t really see a difference between the normal one, but I have it so I use it. I have been applying my foundation with a brush, so I try and use the smallest bit of foundation squeezed onto my hand so I get a really natural look. Now it’s summer I want fresher looking make up with more of a glow.

The concealer I have been loving is by Bourjois and it is the Radience Reveal Concealer. This is a really creamy formula and gives great coverage without going cakes or drying.

The next item I have been raving about so much over on my Instagram (@toriiitoriii), the Seventeen Instant Glow cream bronzer. I bought this last year and hadn’t really used it until this past month. I love using this to bronze my forehead and give a little bit of definition on my cheeks before I actually use powder bronzer.

To bake my under eye concealer I use the MUA Skin Define Powder, this sets under my eyes and stops any creasing during the day. It is a translucent powder so it doenst add any colour. Then to set the rest of my face I use my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte powder which is also translucent. This really does set your face for the whole day and stops any oil/shine.

I next picked out an old palette from Sleek, this is the Face Form Contouring & Blush palette in light 373.  I used the bronzer as this gives a really pretty light bronze to the cheeks and is easy to build up. I then also used the blush as this is a dupe for Nars Orgasm. For highlighter I used a new palette from MUA LUXE Radiant Illumination Highlighting kit 2. I used the bottom left pink pearl colour as this created a really nice shimmery shade which gave a lovely summery glow.

For my eyeshadow I used the most gorgeous palette from MUA,  it is the Burning Embers palette. I chose pretty light neutral colours as I didn’t want anything bold. I build up the crease by using the soft brown and then the dark brown followed by he shimmer champagne colour on the lid.

Lashes, Brows & Lips

On my eye brows I used the MUA LUXE brow pomade to create definition and create a bolder brow. To set my brows I used Loreal Brow Plumper

For my mascara I used Loreal False Lash Superstar which creates loads of length and volume.

And to finish up on my lips I used Tanya Burr Pink Cocoa  which is a really pretty pinky nude shade.

What are your staple items for your daily make up routine?

Amsterdam // Day 1

My week of traveling began yesterday morning, waking up at 6:30am and getting ready to head to the airport for our flight to Amsterdam. I didn’t really know what to expect in Amsterdam so I actually wasn’t even excited to go. Our flight was late to take off, as usual but it only took 45 minutes to land again which is the quickest flight I have even done!

From the airport we bought a train ticket to the central bus station and then a tram ticket to find our hotel. Everything was going smooth until we went to get of the tram, and it started moving before we were off. The lady manning the tram just said we were too late in a rude manner, even though we couldn’t get through the crowd of people getting on. But anyway we got of at the next stop and had a ten minute walk to our hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel we quickly picked up everything we needed for the day and headed out. It turned out we were only 10 minutes away from the main places such as Dam Square. We had wonder around and bought a ticket for a canal cruise so we did that for one hour. We were able to deal with the old walking around but when we were sat on the boat it was freezing, mainly because we thought it was a good idea to sit outside.

There are some giant vlogs around the city so my friend and I took our picture I a few of them. And I also tried on a real pair of clogs, they are so uncomfortable!     We didn’t really do much else apart from wander around the shops and bought a few souvenirs. Tomorrow we are going to try and go to Anne Frank’s house but we hear it’s quite busy so I doubt we will get in. If not  sure we will do some more shopping and walk around a lot more!

Spring Essentials

With the first week of spring a go I decided I would pick out my favourite spring essentials to share with you all. Hope you enjoy, let me know what your essentials are!
Spring is the transition from the dark berry shades to the bright colours, so I have picked some of my favourite pinks for the spring. Rimmel Apocalips Out Of This World, Clinique Chubby Stick Whoopin’ Watermelon, Rinmel Provocalips Little Minx, Milani Rose Hip, New Look Candy Pink, Rimmel Kate Moss 28 and Mac Saint Germain.

For nails I have seem to have picked out a lot of purples, but I find these pastel light colours are perfect for spring.China Glaze in That’s Shore Bright, Ciate Sugar Plum, Barry M Prickly Pear, New Look Purple, Barry M Sugar Apple.

For skin care I have a scrub for Soap & Glory and the body lotion that goes with it, these of course smell amazing and make your skin so soft. And as we are getting I into the warmer months I like to start tanning, my favourite way to tan is using a gradual moisturiser from Dove which gives a natural glow.

I also picked out some candles and a wax as I still love to burn these even in the summer and spring as they make everything smell really good.

Finally in Spring you can start adding a bit of colour to your eyes, so I have picked out my two favourite palettes for this. The stunning colourful one is Mermaids Forever by Make Up Revolution, this is perfect for adding a fun pop of colour to your lash line or all over your lid. I then also picked Urban Decay Naked 3 as this has lots of pinks and purples for the spring and so many looks can be created from this palette.

Spring Make Up Look // Urban Decay Naked 3

The official first day of Spring was on Sunday so I decided to create a spring make up look using the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette.

To begin with I used the MUA primer which I am loving at the minute, it creates a smooth base for your foundation to glide on. As it is starting to get warmer I want my make up to last longer so I opted for Revlon Colourstay for foundation today as I know this lasts and gives a lot of coverage. To set my base I used Rimmel Stay Matte.

To contour and add some definition I used the bottom middle shade of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. For the rest of my face I used a highlighter from the Solstice Sleek palette (purple shade) and then an Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush is Luminous Flush.

I of course used my usual mascara, Loreal False Lash Architect. And then for my brows I filled them in using dip brow from Anastasia Beverly Hills followed by Loreal Brow Plumper to set.

For my eye shadow I wanted something springy, so I chose my Naked 3 palette as this is perfect. First off all I used a Kiko Metallic Shine Shadow as a base in the shade 02, as this is a lovely metallic colour. I then used nooner from the Naked 3 palette in the outer eye as a transition shade, followed by Factory to darken the crease up. I then used Buzz on the inner eye to add more or a metallic shine. I think this is a super springy look as it adds a pop of colour rather than the browns and nudes I usually use.

For lips I have chosen three options.

Milano Rose Hip which is a bright hot pink, New Look Candy Pink which is a creamy matte nude pink and Rimmel Kate Moss in the shade 28 which is more sheer and peach toned.

Favourite Pink Lipsticks

Finding a pink lipstick in my collection is very easy as this seemed to be all I would buy for a while but then I really started getting into brighter and mot rout there colours. However with Spring coming I think a pink lip is a nice addition to your outfit. I have picked out a selection of different brands and shades for all different occasions.

From left to right: Mac Snob Mac Please Me New Look Candy Pink Topshop Tease Rimmel Kate Moss 28

My two favourite shades from above are Mac Snob and Topshop Tease I hair think these two colours are so easy to wear and fun! They will really add something to your make up and make it more girly.
I then also picked out some other lip products which remind me of Spring. I chose La Girl Lil Glaze in Flirt which is actually more on the peachy side but still really nice for spring. Next up are two lip paints from J.Cat in the shades Underland which is a bright baby pink and then Heartadocious which is more of a deeper bright pink.

These will all definelty be my go to lips for spring!
