Everyday Make Up with Only 10 Items

As I’m now back in the swing of work properly after being on holiday for six weeks, I’ve been really struggling with getting up in the morning. Although I really don’t mind doing my makeup, basically know that I look better with it rather than without it, so not doing my make up is not an option. In order to have an extra 10 minutes in bed, I have picked out only 10 items of make up (one is a palette) in order to reduce the amount of time messing around and finding products and wasting time by not knowing what I want to use. So here are my 10 item everyday make up picks…

1. Prime Before I even look in the mirror which is inside my make up bag, I apply The Ordinary High-Adherance Silicone Primer which makes my skin feel super soft and makes it look better than what it is.

2.Mascara While my primer sinks in I apply my mascara, my go to at the minute along with half of he blogging community is Loreal Paradise Exactic. This makes my lashes look long and full of volume which is what everyone wants obviously!

3.Foundation Now my primer is set and lashes are looking on ‘fleek’ it’s time to get some even skin, my go to foundation at the minute is Mac Studio Fix. It is a little dark, but I’m trying to use it up so I can buy a lighter shade. This creates a pretty flawless matte base and already I’m looking so much better.

4. Under Eye Concealer I have finally found my perfect under eye concealer in the form of Bourjois Radiance Reveal. This is really righting, hydrating and doesn’t go cakey!

5. Cream Contour I have recently (in the past 6 months) become obsessed with cream contour, I use it as a base for my powder bronzer. I find it lasts much longer and looks more natural. I have been loving the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Contour Stick in the shade dark to contour my cheeks and then I apply it on my forehead to add some shadow.

6. I then set under my eyes with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, and then I set the rest of my face.

7. Next is my little cheat product, in order to make this a 10 piece make up look I chose to use a palette which contains bronzer, blush and high light. The chosen one for today is the Rosy Flush palette by Tanya Burr Cosmetics.

8. For my brows I have been using a pomade by MUA Cosmetics, I really like the look this particular pomade creates and it’s really easy to use and not go to over the top.

9. To finish my brows I set them using a brow mascara from Loreal.

10. And finally I complete my look with a nude lipstick, the shade I’ve chosen for today is Pink Cocoa by Tanya Burr Cosmetics.

Let me know what your 10 staple products are.

Shaaanxo & Carli Bybel Palettes Swatches & First Impressions

These palettes from BH Cosmetics have been out for ages now, and I didn’t even think I could actually get a hold of one. But one late night shopping spree turned into me finding out that I could get them and ship them to me. As I am a huge fan of Shaaanxo and watch all her videos I knew I had to get her palette hands down. But I also had heard so many good things about the Carli Bybel palette so I thought I had better buy that. And both palettes are absolutely gorgeous! I got both palettes for about $30 which is pretty reasonable including shipping. But when it arrived in the UK I had to pay a customs charge of £12, which I was a little angry at but its worth it at the end of the day! I still haven’t got around to swatching the lipstick side of the Shaaanxo palette as I can’t bring myself to make a dent and ruin it just yet! Soon!

Both of the palettes packaging is lovely, but they are made of card so they will get ruined easily so I’m trying as hard as I can to keep them in pristine condition.

Here are the eyeshadow palettes next to each other. As you can see they are actually quite similar in shades. They have very wearable neutral shades which are my favourite kind!

In the Shaaanxo palette there is a mixture of mattes and shimmers which are perfect. The colours arnt what they seem though, which I love! When you see the swatches below you will see what I mean!

And the lip side of the palette is just, beautiful! How perfect do these shades look!

Here are the swatches of the palette, from left to right on my arm is from top to bottom in the palette. They are the most beautiful shades I have ever seen!

These are the shimmery shades, and these are most definelty my favourite. They have a really lovely satin finish to them and look so glowing.

This palette is also a beauty, the shades are so shimmery and warm toned. I love the fact the bottom row is larger, as they can be used for highlight.

Here are the swatches of the Carli Bybel palette from the larger pans on the left to the mattes on the right.

Overall I am so happy with both my purchases, but of course I’m a little biased to Shaaanxo one so that one is definelty my favourite. Hopefully one day I will be brave enough to try out the lip colours!

Make Up Revolution Mermaids Forever Palette Review // MOTD

I primed my face using the MUA Pro – Base which leaves my skin feeling so soft and even. I then wet my make up sponge and applied my Revlon Colorstay foundation. I used Maybelline Dream Lumi concelor under my eyes to highlight followed by contouring with the Tarte Contour Stick. To set my face I used Rimmel Stay Matte Poweder and then applied my Nars Laguna Brozer, a Make Up Revolution Blush and Mac Soft and Gentle Highligter.
I curled my lashes using this old curler from No7. I then applied Mac Prep + Prime to help my mascara go on easier and then I used Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara which I love, I am so happy they have bought out a waterproof version! For my eye brows I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in soft brown followed by Loreal Brow Plumper to set.

I decided to try out my new Make Up Revolution Mermaids Forever Palette and it is gorgeous! I am so pleased with it! I really didn’t think that this palette would be wearable on an everyday basis but I think it actually is. For today I have done really simple but shimmery eye. I used the shade Bay on my inner lid which is has a pearlescent shine to it. I then used Ariel on my outer corner which is a coppery red. And then in the outer v to add more dimension I used Seabed which is a shimmery brown. I then lined my eyes using Whale which is a dark grey. This palette has easily become my favourite after this, I absolutely love the look and can’t wait to try out more colours! The pigmentation is so good and I love the fact it has shimmery and matte colours. This palette will definelty be coming on holiday with me as it has such a variety of colours!

Nars Steven Klein Palette

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to do a blog post on this palette, I’ve had this one since Christmas Day and to be honest I haven’t used near enough as much as I want to! This is the One Shocking Moment Palette in Collaboration with Steven Klein the photographer.

This palette was £45 and is well worth the money as you get really good sized products. You get four blushes, a powder, contour shade and a bronzer. It’s a great way to be able to test out Nars blushes and bronzers without having to spend £20 – £30 on each item. The bronzer is in fact Laguna, which is the very popular one, so now I have three Laguna bronzers.

The palette is perfect for taking traveling as it has everything you need for you face. The products are a really good size and great colours for every occasion.

I really just start using this more!

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Review

I have been after this palette for so long! I could never find it in shops or online but one day I managed to find it on the Boots website! It was under £10 which is a really cheap for a good branded palette.

The colours really remind me of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette as they are all pink toned and so pretty.

I used this on my eyes today and the pigments were amazing! All the colours work so well together and blend out so easily. I love the colours as their really girly and perfect for spring. Even though they are very pink, they are very natural shades and you can easily do day and night looks with it.

I have the original Maybelline The Nudes palette and they are just such great quality for the price. These palettes are definelty worth investing in as you can do so many looks with them.

First Impressions: Maybelline Nudes Palette

First Impressions

This palette is very similar to a lot of other palettes I own but I couldn’t resist it as its been talked about so much since it was released. I think the colours are beautiful and it’s so much more compact than other palettes and as its not as expensive as Urban Decay it doesn’t matter to much if it’s gets broken or anything. The colours are really pretty and I will defiantly be turning to this palette when I get ready.

First Impressions: Coastal Scents Revealed 3 palette

First Impressions

I always see beauty gurus on YouTube talking about this brand so I decided to try it myself. I got this palette of Amazon for about £10. The one really disappointing thing is, one of the eye shadows had smashed.

The colours remind me of the Naked 3 palette, as they are purpley and pink which I love on my eyes. And there are also the more natural neutral colours aswell which is great to have just in one palette.
