My brow routine & mini review of Tanya Burr Cosmetics Selfie Sculpt brow pencil

Today I am sharing my current brow routine which features one new product which I have fallen in love with since receiving it and the other is just an all time favourite!

I only use two products for brows and I love them! The first product is from Tanya Burr Cosmetics and is the new Brow Selfie Sculpt. I have only been using this 3 days and I am obsessed! It is a retractable pencil on one end and the other has a spooley brush. The pencil is angled which makes it really sturdy so it doesn’t break and really easy to use. The product glides on really easy with the lightest touch which I love because its so easy to control and not go over the top. This brow pencil was sent to me by the brand and they sent me the shade medium, if I was to pick this up myself I most likely would have gone for the fair shade. Buy, you know what, I’m really digging my brows being darker and more prominent.

Using the pencil I start in the centre of my brow and work my way down the tail, once I have the shape there i then go to the front of my brow and fill it in more lightly using upwards motions to create the look of natural brow hairs. While I’m doing this I constantly brush out my brows using the spooley end, this is so handy having it there rather than having to swap and change what your holding. I also find the brush really soft but effective, a lot of spooley brushes I’ve owned are quite rough and scratchy.

Once I have my brows looking full and even I then to set them using a brow mascara, my go-to is Loreal Brow Plumper. I have tried many, but this is the only one which actually sets them and stops them moving around throughout the day.

I also like to add a sweeping of highlight on my brow bone to add a little bit more shape and dimensions.

So there’s my brow routine, what products to you use on a daily basis?

Saturday Night BBQ Make Up Picks

Tonight I’m celebrating Father’s Day with my Grandad and tragic him to a BBQ cooked by myself! So ofcourse that means I want to try out a new palette and go for a bit more of an intense make up look.

For primer I decided to use the Loreal Infalliable Primer as I have been neglecting it so much! I have a new favourite primer which I am obsessed with (post coming soon on it). I am then using Maybelline Fit Me Foundation as I bought this a few weeks ago and I don’t think it’s the best as it’s not long lasting. So a day like today where I’m only wearing my make up for a few hours is a perfect way to wear it. As I have been tanning (a little bit of sun & a little fake) I am using the Loreal Universal Colour Drops which darken foundation, these work great because you don’t have to go and buy hundreds of shades of foundations to match throughout the summer.

My new obsession for under eye concealer is Bourjois Radiance Reveal. This is super hydrating and really brightening, even more so now my foundation is darker. I’m trying to save it for special occasions as I am planning on taking it on holiday with me. On my spots I have been using Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer, this is the best concealer I have ever used! It’s so thick and works really well at coving redness!

On my forehead I like to bronze up a bit, I found using a powder just rubbed off my foundation, so now I use a cream bronzer from Seventeen. This is another staple product in my make up routine for summer, and I will definitely need to buy another one before my holiday.  And lastly to add a bit of extra glow to my cheeks I’m using Benefit Wattsup cream highlighter which is a gorgeous golden shade perfect for a sunkissed look.

Today’s mascara pick is Loreal False Lash Superstar X Fibre, this is a double ended mascara. One side creates length and the other volume so it’s perfect for building up your lashes so they look great! And the for my brows I used a new product in my collection from Make Up Revolution and then Loreal Brow Plumper to set them.

To prime my eye lids I used Urban Decay Primer Potion. And my chosen eye shadow palette today was from the new collection from Tanya Burr Cosmetics. This one is called My Escape, it has really lovely earthy tones.

Today I decided to contour as I don’t do this on a daily basis, so I though why not for a special occasion. I used the middle bottom shade from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette using the contour brush from Real Techniques. To warm up my face I use the Sephora bronzer in the shade Caledonia.

Nip & Fab palettes are my favourite at the minute so I used both my blush and highlight one. They have a really good range of options for any look. I really love using the more coral shade from the blush palette as I find this looks perfect for summer days. For my highlight I tend to only stick to the top row of the palette for every day wear but today I used the bottom left shade which is very subtle golden shade.

For the perfect summer lip I used Rhubarb & Custard by Tanya Burr Cosmetics.

Let me know what your favourite products are for a special occasion.

If I could only own 5 mascaras…

Mascara is the one staple that you need to love 100%, you don’t want clumpy lashes or spidery lashes, you want perfect lashes with volume & length. I have picked 5 mascaras from my collection which I couldn’t like without (yet I will because one is about to run out and I’m not buying it again).

Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes

This is a sample size of the gorgeous mascara from CT, my best friend got me a lipstick for my birthday and this came with it along with a liner. I love the brush as it’s really fluffy and packs on the perfect amount of product to coat your lashes. If I wasn’t stingy I would purchase a full size one of these, but I think some drugstore mascaras are just as good and half the price.

So Susan Feather Lash

This mascara has been sat in my drawer for nearly a year! It came in a subscription box and I’ve just never got around to trying it, I have so many mascaras on the go (even more now). I opened this when I took a photo of my collection and then decided I would try it out. To my surprise it is amazing! I was totally shocked at how well it coated my lashes and it built up volume and length. It also keeps my lashes curled all day long! Another great thing about this mascara is because it’s fibres it doesn’t melt of your eyes when it gets wet, instead it just breaks of in little feathers leaving you without panda eyes.

Loreal False Lash Architect Waterproof

This has been my go to waterproof mascara for years, it creates long luscious lashes and doesn’t create panda eyes. When I get out the pool My lashes are still in place and I have to actually take them off with a cleanser. If your looking for a drugstore waterproof mascara then this is the one!

Too Faced Better Than Sex

Unfortunately this is the mascara that is about to run out, I’ve had it for a year and a half so it’s well past it’s prime. But I just love it so much, I love the packaging the best out of all the mascaras as it’s so girly and pretty. The brush is very much like the CT One above as it has soft fluffy bristles. It is really easy to build up without the fear of clumping.

Loreal False Lash Superstar

This is the newest mascara to my collection and one of my most used. I’ve never really been a fan of the double ended mascaras but this has changed my mind. The first side coats your lashes and adds volume whilst the second side adds on the length to the tip of the lashes.

What’s your favourite mascara?
