Productive things to do on a rainy day at home

There is nothing better than staying home on a rainy day, as much as I love just sitting and doing nothing, watching Netflix and just eating, most the time I actually like to keep myself busy.
If I know I’m going to be staying in the whole day I like to make a list of everything I want to achieve, this way I can physically see what I have accomplished and feel 10x better about the day.

Some things I like to add onto my list are:

  • Tidying my room, I love letting my room get messy over the week so when it comes to tidying it up, it’s a greater achievement. I also love being able to rearrange my room, or add in some new home decor bits especially this time of year.
  • Cleaning make up brushes seems like a bit of funny thing to want to do but once you’ve done it you’ll feet great, I tend to do my brushes every 2 weeks on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • Treat your skin, every week I like to do a full on pamper evening after eating dinner. This way I can take my time to do my skincare and give it a proper clean and mask it up.
  • Every so often I find it really useful to go through and tidy all my drawers, whether it be my make up drawers or clothes drawers. You might discover something which you had forgotten about.
  • I like to switch the make up thats in my everyday makeup bag, I go through my make up drawers and pick out products I want to try out or I’d forgotten about.
  • Pick out some products which you want to use over the weeks, these could be new ones, or ones your want to try and use up.
  • Reading blog posts and researching ideas for your own is a great way to gather some inspiration and help develop your blog.
  • I tend to leave all my photography to the weekends because of the lighting, so I spend about an hour to two hours working on photos and creating new content.
  • Plan your next week, decide what you want to do, whether it’s going out and about, or writing a blog post.
  • Spend an hour or two watching your favourite movie or show

3 things to do on a sunny Sunday

Happy Sunday, ironically I’m sitting writing this on a day where it has been miserable and currently raining, so hopefully the weather does get amazing again so we can all enjoy the sunshine for a little bit longer.

Picnic Party

Having a picnic is a super fun and spur of the moment thing to do, just a quick trip to Asda to pick up some yummy food and find a nice little bit of grass to sit on. You could even do this in your own garden! I made my picnic super cute just by using decor from my room, and I got super cute snaps because my friend Daisy is an amazing photographer! Although, do remember if it is a really hot day, your food will either melt or get really warm, we found out the hard way with warm yoghurt and melted cheese strings!

Visit the sunflower fields

If you follow me over on Instagram you will know how obsessed I have been with visiting sunflower fields this year, I’ve been twice already and plan on going at least 3 more times before summer is up! Google sunflower fields where you live and I’m sure some locations will pop up. Walking around the fields filled with sunflowers is a supper cute way to spend any day of the week, especially Sundays. A lot of the time for a small price you’ll be able to pick your own sunflower and take it home with you.

Visit a new place

Go somewhere you haven’t been and explore, go with no expectations and enjoy having a look around and taking in the new sites. This could be anywhere, it could be a town, a city, a garden centre, a park, a lake, the ideas are endless.

Let me know how you like to spend your sunny Sunday’s xx

What to do between Christmas and New Year

This is the question I’m sure everyone asks and is thinking about, I work in a school so I have the whole of the festive period off, but this means I need to make the most of it and do something every day. But of course, the 4 and a bit days between Christmas ending and NYE we all need some motivation to get up and go somewhere instead of lounging around eating chocolate and left over food whilst watching more Christmas movies. I have come up with some ideas (mainly for myself to look back on and do) of what do on those days where your going stir crazy sat in front of he tv for yet another day.

Go for a walk

Nothing beats going for a wintery walk!

Movie day

Invite your friends around, watch some movies, eat some chocolate and mince pies!

Sale Shopping

If you feel like your ready to battle the sales, then heading into the shops is good idea to get some real bargains!

Visit your closest city

Heading into your nearest city for the final Christmassy vibes before the January blues!

Have a pamper day

Pamper days are my answer for everything, enjoy an afternoon pampering yourself, do a face mask, run a bath and just relax.

Plan your 2018

Plan what you want to do/achieve and where you want to go!

Go ice skating

There are some really gorgeous ice skating rinks around these days, especially in London at the Natural History Museum and Tower of London!

Clean & Sort

Having some free time before the end of the year is a great time to declutter and tidy all your belongings!

Go on a trip

Go for a night away anywhere and explore!

Find some really yummy things to bake in a cooking book or on Pinterest!

Hope these have given you some ideas of what to do, I will definitely be doing most of these while I’m off work!
