Skin Care I’m Loving Right Now¬†

Beauty

I have been wanting to write this post for ages but I wanted to wait until I had found my favourites and knew they were working for me. My skin at the moment is just all over the place, it’s uneven, I have bumpy little spots and then I have the occasional big red spot that needs popping. But after using these products for a while I have ingredients and serums especially which are really helping improve my over skin texture and look.

To begin with, my newest addition is a charcoal Konjac Sponge. You can find these online and they are pretty cheap, they reccomend you replace them every 3 months. My one is from Grace & Stella. I use this in the mornings after I have used a cleanser to stimutate my skin and get the blood flowing around my face. It’s an exfoliating but it’s not over powering or harsh like some face exfoliators would be.

Next up I have 2 toners which I have been loving, the first is a Glycolic Acid Toner from The Ordinary. This helps even our skin tone and gentle exfoliate to allow new skin cells to form creating a healthier glow. The second one is a Tea Tree Toner from The Body Shop, I tend to use this when I’m having break outs as it helps prevent the spread of bacteria from the spots and helps drawer out the impurities to create a matte completion.

This next little section turns into an appreciation post for The Ordinary, I recently been loving their products but they have become really hard to get a hold off as everyone seems to buy everything that I want and need. First up is a serum called Argireline, I use this on my forehead and under my eyes to help reduce the appearance of lines as it helps limit muscle movement some how, but it seems to be working. Next is the Lactic Acid which has a peeling formulation, I use this once a week or every other week depending on how my skin is looking and feeling. This helps give you more of a natural glow. And lastly, if you struggle with spots or little bumps like I said at the beginning then you will want to get your hands on their Salicylic Acid, I use this over big areas on my face, not just on one spot in particular. This helps drawer out the impurities and target large areas.

And finally the last product I have been loving is a day cream from Clinique, I love how fresh and revitalised my skin feels after applying this in the mornings. It is also pretty light weight so applying make up over the top is ok to do.

What are you favourite skincare products? Are there any I should try?

Morning Skincare Routine

Beauty

Hello lovelies, today I am sharing my morning skincare routine. I don’t do this every morning, just on the weekends when I have more time to get ready.

In the mornings I like to keep it fairly simple and easy on my skin as I might be applying make up that day, so I dont want any heavy products which will make my make up sit badly.

To cleanse my fave I have just started using the Garnier Rose Water cleansing milk to remove any products from the night before and just really refresh mySkin.

I then go in with the Boots Botanics Toner, this cleanses and refreshers aswell and brightens the skin. After a toner I spray my face with the Avene Thermal Water and let that sink in, this is really good in the summer as it adds a little something extra to my routine and really hydrates my skin.

Next I use a light weight Serum which is from the same range as a the toner from Boots. This glides on and hydrates my skin without leaving a residue.

And lastly I finish with the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel which is perfect for applying make up on top off. This makes my skin feel really fresh and clean ready for the day ahead!

What are your go to products in the morning?

Forgotten Make Up

Beauty

I have seen shop my stash posts around and thought I would do one as I always seem to use the same make up day in day out. I went through my drawers and picked out the things which I barely touch in hopes that I will find a love for them and start using them!

I love filling in my eye brows and I went through a stage of buying loads of brow products to try out, and this ELF brow kit was on of them. Of course I’m used to my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow but I would like to give this a shot in the near future. I have dyed my brows recently so I know the darker shade is perfect for a bit of natural colour.

Next up is a Catrice highlighter pen, I picked this up in Prague last year and it gives such good colour. As its getting into spring I want to try and use this in the inner corner of my eye and also under my brows to add definition.

Next up is more eye products, these are the only 2 Mayeblline Colour Tattoos I own and I have had these for years, so it could be about time I bought some new ones. They both are really nice metallic bases and have a long lasting power. Once again these would be perfect for brightening your eye shadow and creating a good base.

I then chose a highlighter from Kiko, I domt actually think I have used this because it is so shimmery! But it would be nice for a night out or in the summer to add a golden touch.

I chose another highlighter which I barely use, and this one is from Rimmel and is in a liquid form. This is a actually a really subtle natural shade which I must start using more!

I also found 2 palettes which are pretty much untouched. One is the Andy Warhal palette from Nars, this has some really nice bright Spring/summer colours. The thing that puts me off using this palette is when I swatch the colours they have quite large peices of glitter in them, which makes me afraid. The other palette is Meet Matte Nude(s), this actually has such wearable colours but I never reach for it and I don’t know why!

And the final item I found was by Clinique, a custom repair serum. I don’t have a clue what this is, so I guess I should google it and find out. I ended up getting this free when Debenhams sent me the wrong order.
