My haircare saviours

Beauty

I have been super lucky to be approached by a wonderful haircare brand, Percy & Reed, and I shall be working with them for the whole year which is super exciting! Each month I will be sent different products to try out and photograph. For me, I personally love just being able to take photos of products, testing them out is just an added bonus. Before this I had only ever tried one of their products which came in a subscription box, now I have a whole selection and could not be happier!

As you can see, the team at Percy & Reed have been super generous and I LOVE receiving these like parcels monthly.

So far, favourite has to be the overnight recovery, this is a hair mask which you can leave on for hours and hours. I tend to do mine every Sunday when I wake up if I have no plans for that day. I then let it work it’s magic the throughout the whole day. What’s great about this mask is that you only have shampoo your hair, no need for conditioner, so it totally speeds up the whole showering process (especially when it’s cold outside).

As I havn’t had these products for long I still havn’t had a good chance to try them, although before I went and took some outfit photos, I sprayed on the shine and fragrance spray which 1. smells amazing and 2. it actually made my hair look amazing!

And that’s all I’ve tried so far…

Ditching fake nails and embracing my natural nails | Featuring Laguna Moon Gel Polish

Beauty

I have been wearing fake nails for well over a year, I got into the habit of having my nails look good, always wanting to look put together, but whilst I was on holiday a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to go back to natural nails. I am (was) a nail biter, I can still be, but it’s been about 3 months without any biting so I’m going strong! I am also a picker, if there is nail polish to pick off I will pick it, that generally the reason why I wore false nails.

I was contacted my a new brand called Laguna Moon who asked if I wanted to try out one of their gel nail kits. I chose ‘The Bridesmaids” set as it had pinks and greys and I thought they looked the prettiest colours for me. They arrived really quickly and in such cute packaging!

The packaging makes it really easy for storing and I think it is a really unique way of sending them.

The set comes with three shades of grey, one pastel pink, one pink glitter and one pink shimmer. I can’t wait to have a proper play around with these colours, you’ll have to keep an eye on my instagram @toriiitoriii for when I switch them up!

Over all doing gel nails is a really fun satisfying little job,  a treat for yourself, time to relax and pamper and take the well deserved time you need!

My new skin saviour | Magnitone Cleansing Brush

Beauty

I was recently sent the new Magnitone cleansing & toning brush to try out and OMG it has been the best addition to my skincare routine in ages! I havn’t used a cleansing brush in quite a while and I had forgotten how beneficial it is from problematic skin.

After I have removed my make up I use the soft brush to cleanse my skin, there are two different settings for cleansing, a lighter one and a more heavier duty one which is more powerful. I like to use the second one, there is . timer for one minute and this beeps ever 20 seconds so you know when you change areas. I tend to clean my face for about  2 minutes just to give it a deep clean.

The brush heads are really easy to switch up, just pull it off and push on the next one. I use the toning brush which is silicone to apply my spot treatment, although you could also use this to apply moisturiser. To use the toning setting you have to press the main button 3 times, and the brush will start pulsing, it feels so amazing on your skin like a daily massage. I find this a great way of working the treatment into my skin.

Since using this brush everyday for the past 2 weeks I can definitely say that my skin tone and texture has improved greatly!

My new Caseapp phone cases

Beauty

I was very lucky to be given a chance to pick out two gorgeous phone cases from Caseapp. I was able to design and personalise my own, or pick out some pre made ones, I chose 2 pre made ones which instantly caught my attention.

Pink & Gold Marble Case

I picked this phone case because I though it was a stunning design, I hadn’t seen a design which was pink and black marble with the gold specs.

Floral Pizza Case

This phone case is quite possibly my favourite phone case I have owned, it sums up me so well, pizza, flowers and pink! I just think it so cute and this has been the perfect new accessory for my phone.

Caseapp cases are so unique and you can guarantee you can find multiple cases to match your own personal style, Caseapp are offering you 20% off using the code TORITORI20.

Becoming a #skinfluencer for Dermalogica

Beauty

Today’s blog post is pretty exciting because I can say with all the excitement that I am a #skinfluencer for Dermalogica! This is a pretty big deal, quite possibly one of the biggest companies I’ve ever worked with and they sent me an amazing package of skincare goodies to try out!

I am just obsessed with the packaging, so simple yet so chic and tidy looking. I am so grateful so be adding another 5 products to my skincare/makeup routine over the next few months!

The pre cleanse is such a unique idea to include in a skincare line, a lot of people hair assume because you’ve washed your face once or wiped it with a face wipe it’s clean, but the reality is that it isn’t, in fact there is loads of make up still left on your skin. The pre cleanse is an oil which you massage into your skin and it melts away make up and impurities creating a clean base for cleanser.

The special cleansing gel contains mint and lavender to soothe the skin and other ingredients which foam away toxins and debris, basically creating a squeaky clean face ready for the rest of your skincare routine. I really like the fact that it’s not heavily scented and it that it doesn’t contain soap!

This has to be my favourite product of the bunch, the daily microfoliant. This is a powder made from rice extract which when added to wet hands creates a scrub which gently exfoliates your skin to make it brighter whilst calming it. And the best part is, you can use it every day!

The final skincare product is a daily moisturiser, this is a skin smoothing cream, designed to soothe, hydrate, restore suppleness and tone.

I was also sent one make up product, the skin perfecting primer, this is the only one I have yet to try. It smoothes fine lines, brightens and preps the skin ready for make up. From my initial impressions of trying a small bit on my hand, the smell is amazing, and it comes out skin coloured which reminds me of Porefessional by Benefit, however I can see a glow so I am going to try this out tomorrow because I am so intrigued!

Have you tried any Dermalogica? Let me know in the comments! Xx

Maxi dress loving | Lesara

Fashion

A few weeks ago a website called Lesara got in contact and asked if they could send me a whole outfit to feature on my Instagram. Of course I said yes, I picked a dress, sandals and a bag. I originally wanted to create one whole outfit, but they were quickly selling out of everything I wanted to buy so in the end I ended up picking mismatched items so I couldn’t t pair them all together.

I picked this beautiful dress, as soon as I saw it on the site I knew it was the one for me.

Styled with Adexe | My new piece of arm candy

Beauty

Last month the lovely Marie at Adexe Watches got in contact with me saying that they love my Instagram and would love to send me a watch to promote on there. This is my first ever watch collaboration so I was rather excited as I see lots of big bloggers promoting watches all the time.
I had the whole pick of the website, all their watches are so beautiful and if I could I would of chosen loads of them, but instead I went for a style of watch which I have been lusting after for a long time. I chose the Sistine Petite in Rose Gold, could this watch be anymore perfect and instagramable?

Before receiving this watch I was never a big watch person, but now this watch is an everyday accessory me. It’s so cute and girly but still chic at the same time making it the perfect staple for every outfit. I was originally going to go for one of the larger watches but changed my mind last minute to go for the Petite, I am so glad i made this choice as anything bigger would of looked silly on me as my arms are quite short.

The quality of the watch is amazing, I have a feeling this watch is going to last me a very long time. It is is waterproof for up to 30m so that means you could actually wear it all the time.

The watch retails for £109 and you can get your own one here.

I want to say a huge thank you to Adexe for sending me this beautiful watch, make sure to head over to my Instagram to see it featuring in many photos!

What’s in the box? January Cohorted Box

Beauty

The lovely company Cohorted have sent me a third box to test out and review which is super nice them! I love receiving these boxes as I always know it will be amazing quality and this month has to be my favourite so far! This post is a little late going up as I had no time to take any photos since it arrived as I was away on holiday for two weekends! But now I’m back for a weekend I can finally get cracking with the photos…

I love skincare products, more than make up products I think so this box is a great one this month! It contains mainly facial products, a few body products and one make up product.

Skin Chemist Anti Ageing Charcoal Pore Peeling Mask

First up is my favourite one in the box, it’s the Skin Chemist Anti Ageing Charcoal Pore Peeling Mask. This is exactly what it says on the box, I have used this so much since receiving it, I like to use it every other night to give my skin a little boost. It also feels so good when you feel it off and it feels like it is giving your skin a really good clean as you peel.

Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser

When I saw that this was Sunday Riley product I got a little excited! I’ve seen and heard so many good things about this brand but have never gone out and bought anything myself. I’m really looking forward to trying this out, but as it’s only 30ml I will save this for a holiday as it’s the perfect travel size!

Lancôme Renergie Multi Lift

Next is an anti aging day cream from Lancôme, these are handy little moisturises for travelling or keeping in your handbag just in case you need some extra moisture when your out and about.

Wish Formula The Mask With Centella Honey Fermented Serum

This is a Korean face mask so automatically you know it’s gonna be a good one! The mask is designed to moisture and repair your skin. These type of masks are one of my favourites as they are really easy to apply and they feel really refreshing on your skin.

Marc Jacobs Re(cover) Setting Mist

This little beauty is also a very exciting product as I have never tied anything from Marc Jacobs before! This is the Re(cover) Perfecting Coconut Setting Mist which revives your glow and sets your make up. It hydrates your skin as well as keeping your make up in place all day!

Urban Veda Body Products

And lastly we have three body products from Urban Veda, a body wash, body lotion and body scrub whichall contain a lot of natural ingredients and smell amazing! I can’t wait to use these as they hydrate your skin, help with skin repair, soothe and boost circulation.

If you like the look of this box and want to subscribe head over to their website to check them out Here

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Express Your Selfie range

Beauty

Hello lovelies!

I was really lucky to be sent the new #expressyourselfie range from Tanya Burr Cosmetics! This is the second time they have sent me a new collection and it literally makes my day, week and even months! This new range by Tanya Burr is sooo beautiful! She always gets it right with the products and packaging!

The new collection consists of three brand new eye products! A mascara, eye liner and Brow pencil to create the perfect selfie.

So, the packaging as always is gorgeous, anything good and shiny is a huge hit with pretty much everyone these days so it’s definitely perfect! Also the names of the products are really creative and printed on in a beautiful italic print which makes it look like a really high end product.

Selfie Lash Mascara £7.99

I feel like the star of the collection is the mascara as this seems to be the most talked about. So far I have only tried it once, but have no fear it’s in my make up bag ready to be used all this week for work! But my first impressions of it are that it really does build up drama and it doesn’t clump your lashes together. It’s supposed to be able to be layered and layered to build up as much drama as you want, so I’m sur with will be testing that out over the next week!

Selfie Sculpt Brow Pencil £6.49

Next up is a brow pencil, I don’t think I’ve seen a prettier brow pencil ever! The product has an angled pencil on one end and then the other end has a spooley brush which makes doing your brows so much easier and faster. I found the product dry which I personally liked because I liked that I had control over how much I applied. I’ve not used a brow pencil before because I’ve been worried about it coming out really heavy, but this pencil works just like a pomade. I was sent the shade medium, I’m not sure if this is too dark for me as I have yet to see how light the fair one is.

Selfie Flick Liquid Eye Liner £4.49

Now, I am not an eye liner girl, I’ve never really got the hang of it, but before these products arrived I’d told myself I was going to give it ago and practice with it. I tried out the liner on just one eye (yes I looked crazy later on when I had to go and move my car) and first of all I have no idea how to do a winged line so I attempted it and at first I was unsure but then it totally grew on me by the end of the day! And I am in love with liner! It applies really black and doesn’t smudge but it comes of easily with a cleanser and water.

Did you buy anything from the #expressyourselfie range? Let me know what you got.

New Skincare on Trial

Beauty

Happy Saturday!

Today’s post is all about new skin care products I’ve picked up recently and a little bit of a review about them.

This little selection I picked up from TK Maxx, I’ve never really had much luck in my local store, but on this day I found some bargains!

The Cream Shop This is an overnight gel mask containing hyaluranic acid. First of all, how cute is the packaging, totally cute and really looks worth the money. This costed a total of £5.99 which I think is a real bargain. I really like the whole concept of overnight masks, as their constantly giving your skin the hydration it needs to be plump and look great in the morning. So far I love this!

Philosophy This is my first item from Philosophy and I’m so impressed with it. The thing that kind off made me love even more was the price, this was only £7.99. Now this is cheap, I went in Boots afterwards and they sell it for £18! I also really liked the whole concept of this wash as it’s a scrub aswell, it has really fine particles so it feels really gentle on your skin but it also feels like it is doing good. Apparently regularly use helps buffer out fine lines and evens out the skin tone, so let’s put it to the test!

Sukin I have seen Sukin in quite a few places now so when I saw this hydration mask for £4.99 I figured now was as good as time as any to pick it up! Although I am not keen on the smell I do like the product itself!

Garnier Garnier skincare is a staple in my routine, especially the face washes. So when I saw they had a wash which was essentially micellar water I thought it would be great. This acts as a make up remover, it’s very similar to their other Skin Active washes but removes way more make up!

The Ordinary After seeing the AHA Peeling Solution appear in so many people skincare routines I decided to give it ago myself. Now this is really cool! I am going to do a whole blogpost on this as I think it’s really interesting to use.

Generation Skincare Generation Skincare were kind enough to send me one of their new serums to try out over the next few weeks. So far I have only used it a few time, but I really like it. It smells of oranges, so this makes it really pleasant to use. I also love be fact it contains so much good stuff just in one bottle which can help with hydration and clear skin!

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these!

Also, don’t forget to follow me on bloglovin!
