I feel like I’ve finally got my make up routine down to a t, I have found my favourite products and have a hard time switching them out to try out products at the moment. I have a huge range of drugstore make up to my higher end Chanel bronzer (which I love) and I think that’s what makes me love my routine so much because there is so much variety.
For my base I have been using the MUA primer oil, this gives a super dewy base which makes your make up glow even when you’ve applied everything else. The one thing I do not like about this product is the smell, to me it smells like toilet cleaner, not something I generally would like to put on my face, but as I like the overall effect of this product I will use it up.
My go to foundation at the moment is the MAC studio fix foundation, this foundation is literally on its last legs and I am getting the last dregs out by storing it upside down. This use to me my ‘going out’ foundation, but now I tend to use it in order to use it up so I can make a start on a new one. I really like this foundation because it gives really nice coverage and lasts all day.
For my concealer I use the Glossier bounce concealer which is super creamy, blend-able and gives really great coverage.
Now we are onto my favourite product I have ever bought, Chanel Les Beige, the perfect cream bronzer. I have not used anything else since I added this to my collection at Christmas and I am in love with it.
After using all my cream products I like to set my face, I normally use a loose powder from MUA but I recently bought the compact powder from Beauty Pie. This one sets your base and gives you a glow, it really reminds me of the Hourglass powders that everyone used to rave about.
My bronzer is an oldie but a goodie and has been well-loved for the past few years, Benefit Hoola. Sadly though, I have hit pan and it won’t last me much longer, I really like this one as it gives a really defined bronzed looked and you barely need any product in order to to create this.
My blush is another new addition since Christmas as I decided I needed to try Charlotte Tilbury Pillow talk blush and wow, it is amazing. I can totally see what the hype is about, this shade is just perfect for my skin tone, and I love that it has a little bit of glow in the pan as-well.
So it seems I have a lot of new products in my routine as my highlighter is new too, I decided to pick up a Fenty highlighter, I love this one as it just gives you a glow, there’s no shimmer or sparkles, just glow.
The mascara I have been using is the much loved Maybelline Sky High which I was heavily influenced to buy and try. I have very short stumpy lashes, and I find this mascara helps me create really defined lashes without having to spend ages building up the length and volume.
Lastly, my favourite part of my routine is doing my brows, I love a good ol’ brushed up laminated look so I tend to pick products which help me achieve that. I use the Elf brow pencil to fill them in, and then the Brow Sculp from Refy to set them in place.
And that is it, everything that goes on my face for a normal day where I either go to work of take some photos for the gram!
