Summer Essentials

Today I have decided to share my summer essentials, all my favourite products that I use and love during the summer.

Skin Care I love skin care, mainly my facial skin care but I have also been loving looking after the skin on the rest of my body recently. I love to use a scrub on my skin, especially on my arms and legs where I like to get a tan. I have been saving this Soap & Glory scrub for the summer so I will be digging into this from now on. I also love a good face mask, all year round. I generally use ones in a tube or Lush ones but I have been loving these packets from 7th Heaven as they are only £1 each and good for travelling.

After scrubbing my skin I like to add moisture back in, I have been in love with this body lotion from Victoria’s Secret which is in a coconut flavour so perfect for summer! I then also have been waiting eagerly to use this body oil from Boots No7. I am waiting until I have a tan and most probably on holiday until I use this.

Doing my skin care routine every night is something I look forward to, I love knowing that my skin is clean and is being looked after. I like to use products which contain vitamin e as they help heel the skin and keep it looking good. My favourite line of vitamin e products is by Superdrug, I absolutely love the leave on mask and use this a few times a week for a good moisture. If my lips are feeling a little dry I like to apply my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream.

Perfume Coconut scents are my go to from about March, I get so many compliments when I wear Bronze Goddess by Estee Laudee as it smells amazing! It is literally summer in a bottle. I also like to wear Sunshine from The Library Of Fragrence which is another coconuty smells but a little stronger.

Hair As for hair I like to keep it pretty natural, I don’t use any heat during the summer. So I tend to use a sea salt spray and dry shampoo to add texture and volume. Dry shampoo is my must have and I cannot live without it!

Lips During the summer it’s important to take care of your lips and keep them hydrated and apply an spf. I love EOS lip balms for this and the yellow one has spf in it so it’s perfect for days on the beach.

Sunscreen Another very important item which you should really be applying all year round but never do. I have to admit this picture is a little bit false for my self as I like to use tanning oils once I have a base tan but when I go on holiday I also like a proper sunscreen just Incase I burn. I also think it is very important to use a higher factor on your face. I am buying a new face sunscreen before I go away so hopefully it will be higher than an spf 30.

Make Up The summer is the perfect excuse to wear bold make up and make a statement. I love coral and red lips in the summer as they go really well with a tan and just look so nice with any outfit. I have also been loving using a blue eyeliner on my bottom lash line along with a blue mascara.

Nails As for nails I ofcourse like to keep it bright in the summer! And these will most likely be my most worn over the summer.
