Visiting New York City had always been a dream of mine when I was a child. I use to sit in my room and look at holiday brochures and plan trips, but never went. It wasn’t until I did Camp America in 2009 that I went for he first time with my family. I then went for a second time with a friend in 2012. Here are some pictures from my trips as I recently just found all the photos on my laptop.
Times Square
Times Square is an amazing place! It’s so full of life and is jam packed full of things to look at. The first time I went I was lucky enough to stay in Westin which was next Times Square which was great as we could constantly go in all the touristy shops and spend loads of money. The second time I went we accidentally booked a hotel in New Jersey, but hey, I got to visit another state. And the journey to NYC was really quick, easy and cheap on a bus.
Up The Empire State Building
I can say that I am lucky enough to have gone up the Empire State Building twice, and sure I will go up again. It has amazing views over the whole of NY which are breathtaking!
Brooklyn Bridge
Here are some views from Brooklyn Bridge.
Cruise
When we bought our tickets up the Empire State Building they also came with a little cruise which was about an hour long. It takes you under all the bridges and very close to the Statue of Liberty. I can’t find any decent photos of that at the moment though. On this day after the cruise we got on one of the buses back to the city but we missed our stopped because we really didn’t have a clue where we were going so we had to go around the route again. The funny thing is the friend I was with was American.
Rockefeller Centre
During Tom first trip to NY I actually went uk the top of The Rockefeller Centre but we only walked past this time.
New York is a such a beautiful place and I can’t wait to go back! I am definelty in need of a trip to the USA in the next couple of years!
Brilliant photos. I love NY!
