I thought today I would share my favourite drugstore products which are perfect for anyone not wanting to spend a lot or for anyone who has a small budget. Here are the products which I love to use which are on the cheaper side. For a base I have chosen two primers, one is a spray and one is solid. These are both around the £5 mark and are really good. These are he only two primers I actually own and they work really well for me and help my make up stay in place all day even in heat. For foundation I of course had to pick my two favourites, Max Factor 3 in 1 and Revlon Colourstay. The Max Factor foundation is a 3 in 1, so it already contains primer concelor and foundation so it’s perfect if you don’t want to fork out extra money on primer and concelor. Revlon Colour is just amazing at staying all day, it has great coverage as does the Max Factor one. Then to set the foundation I swear by Rimmel Stay Matte powder, this will keep your face matte all day without having to touch it up.
For bronzing and contouring there are a lot of products out there, I know that Loreal and Maybelline have some really nice ones out at the minute which I want to try. But here are some cheaper alternatives. The top palette is by Sleek and I think is around £10, which is a good value for money as you are getting a bronzer, highlighter and blush. The next individual bronzer to the right is by NYC and I swore by this for years, it is pretty much a dupe for Benefit Hoola Bronzer and is only £3! Next is a bronzer from Soap and Glory called Solar Powder, this is under £10 and is perfect if you want more subtle colour. This one is more natural and can be easily built up. And lastly is a Contour Kit from Make Up Revolution. I don’t think you can go wrong buying Make Up Revolution products as they are such good value for money and have great products!
For blush I think it’s important to invest in colours that you can wear everyday and can get more use out off. The top blush is from Kiko in the shade 109 and is a lovely matte pink shade perfect for a natural look. I then have picked out two cream blushes because I think they are really easy to blend and build up. I think you have more control over the amount of product you apply.
And now onto my favourite section, highlight! The amazing palette you can see is from Sleek and was only £9.99, I still can’t get over how pretty this palette is. It has cream and powder highlighters so it’s very versatile. Below is a contour stick from Collection which is £3.99, it gives a lovely natural golden glow to your cheek bones. To the right is a shimmery champagne from MUA and this is about £3. And above that is from Soap and Glory which is a pinky natural colour.
And finally, eyes! For mascara I have picked out my favourite mascara which I cannot live without. Loreal False Lash Architect in waterproof and normal, these are absolutely amazing as adding length and volume and are around £10. For eyebrows I have picked out a sculpting kit from Rimmel which is around the £5 mark, this contains a wax and powder so it’s perfect. And lastly some eye shadow palettes which are worth the money, first up is Maybelline the Nudes palette which has colours for everyday use and is only £10. And the second one is this Make Up Revolution palette Mermaids Forever which has a pop of colour but is also super wearable.
Like I said before, MUA and Make Up Revolution are in my opinion worth the money. I have started to build up a little collection of their products and love them so far.
